Duties and Responsibilities
The goal of the Monroe County Conservation Board (MCCB) is to encourage awareness and enjoyment of our Natural Resources by providing a better understanding of our environment. The MCCB provides the public with approximately 2000 acres, 35 county conservation managed areas, helping to conserve our natural resources, preserve scenic sites, and discover outdoor recreation opportunities in Monroe County.
Lake Miami is a 135 acre, man-made lake located 5 miles east of Lovilia on an 879 acre park. Lake Miami was constructed in 1967. The lake is governed by the Monroe County Conservation Board. Lake Miami offers full service facilities for camping. Lake Miami also offers picnic areas, fishing, hunting, hiking, and outdoor recreations, as well as cabin rentals.
Camping Rates
Full Hook-up Sites - $ 16.00/night (Water, Electric, & Sewer)
Electric Campsites - $ 11.00/night
Tent Camping - $ 6.00/night
Shower house is available
Please register and pay the park administrator, or at the self registration booth
Ice is available, $ 2.00 / 6lbs & $ 5.00 / 18lbs
Please do not litter
No keg beer is allowed in the park
Year-round fishing is available. A boat dock is available for fishing boats. There is also a handicap dock available.
Cabin Rental
Available year-round. Renters must be at least 21 years old.
Rate
April 1 - September 30: $ 55.00 first night and $ 50.00 each night after
October 1 - March 31: $ 40.00 first night and $ 35.00 each night after
A separate $ 50.00 deposit check is required, and will be returned after cabin inspection, within 7 days of departure
Cabins have a queen size bed, pull out sofa, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen table, limit cooking supplies, and TV
Renters must provide linens and table-ware

Shelter Houses
Miami Park also has shelter houses available. There are two open shelters; one with a spectacular view of the lake, the other located near the wildlife area.
Open Shelters are available for $ 25.00/day
There is also an enclosed shelter with a fireplace for $ 50.00/day
