JOB TITLE:  Office Staff/Deputy

 

This position is a full-time position and works under direct supervision of the Monroe County Treasurer.  Applicant will be responsible for collecting property taxes, transferring vehicle titles, renewing vehicle registrations, issuing driver’s license and non-operator ID cards, performing driver license knowledge and skills testing, processing various accounting procedures, helping customers with all types of transactions, along with various other general office duties.

 

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED EQUIVALENCY. APPLICANT MUST POSSESS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS; ABILITY TO HANDLE STRESSFUL SITUATIONS/CUSTOMERS IN A CALM MANNER; ABILITY TO HANDLE LARGE SUMS OF MONEY; ACCOUNTING KNOWLEDGE; GOOD COMPUTER SKILLS; ABILTY TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. APPLICANT MUST ALSO HAVE A VALID IOWA DRIVER’S LICENSE.

 

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE. WILL RECEIVE COUNTY EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PACKAGE. THE COUNTY SHALL HAVE SOLE DISCRETION TO FILL ANY VACANCY.
