Monroe County Secondary Road Department has an immediate opening for a SKILLED MECHANIC. 

Individual will perform skilled maintenance, repairs, modification and inspection on a variety of light to heavy mechanical and specialized equipment and vehicles.  Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions to determine appropriate repairs and complete repairs and maintenance as necessary.

Completion of high school or GED, plus at least two (2) years of formal training in heavy equipment repair or three (3) years of experience involving heavy equipment repair is required.  

Individual shall possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes and is subject to random testing as required by Monroe County.
